Borneo Bay Cat is Nusantara’s endangered animal with a distinct color feature and sound character different from any other wild cats. The cat’s existence was estimated from around the past four million years in Kalimantan, and became critically endangered due to damage to their habitat and poaching.  Â
Borneo’s Bay Cat has long been a symbol of a respected and loyal animal in Kalimantan, as if it was king of hundred-years of reign. Known as the mark of friendship and peace by indigenous peoples of the island of Kalimantan, heirs of traditional and ancient value from their predecessor, the cat represents life companion for kings from God.   Â
PALA Kucing Merah is inspired by the critically endangered status of the cat as a reminder of the harmony of life once transpired between humans and animals. Thousands of years – symbol of friendship between Humankind and Animals in Nusantara gives value for Nusantara cultural story enthusiasts, and amplifies individual identity.Â
